Group Members - Jane Huggett



Jane is one of the founder members of the group and has been dancing since 1989. In addition to her interest in historical dance Jane is widely read in Tudor and Jacobean social history and has a keen interest in historical clothing. She has published research in Costume magazine and has written a number of booklets designed to make the latest research on the clothes of ordinary people in the past available to the re-enactment community. Jane is a professional tailor specialising in high quality historical reproductions for museums, historical interpreters, musicians and dancers. She made many of the outfits in the photographs on this web site.

Jane also works as a costumed guide lecturer at Hampton Court Palace and as a costumed interpreter at Milestones museum.
